Does Education Decide Designation??????????

This is a very well known myth in the minds of individuals that higher education leads to higher opportunity and wellness. People say that higher education is a mandatory factor towards leading in the company.

But in converse there have been lots of well known examples, who proved  that not  only education but excellence counts. Education is important but not mandatory in case of excellence acoustics. A large number of business tycoons have proved to be successful without having a so called Business Degree. One will be literally astonished to know how well they managed without having a Management Degree.

The list would become never-ending but still it needs commencement:-

1)      Sunil Bharti Mittal: - The biggest name in the Biz. world, the owner and controller of Mittal Group. One of the top rankers in Forbes list is an MA degree holder.

2)       Steve Jobs: - The co-founder and CEO of Apple, who recently died after a legendary success, was not an MBA degree holder. In fact he withdrew his studies in 1^st year of graduation. Yet he was the whole and soul of such a big brand.

3)      K.P.Singh:- The DLF king is just a BSc. Degree holder but still he managed the group better than an MBA holder. He left no stone unturned in the success of the group, proving to be a great performer.

4)      Shashi Ruia: - Essar group leader, controls Indian market for Essar only with a minor B.Com degree. Such a big name is being handled with such a lower education degree, but not with a lower excellence.

5)      Eric E. Schmidt: - The Google CEO is not an MBA, but still is taking over the entire Google world with lots of new achievements. Enabling success of Google was no where linked to his Degree education.

6)      Brij Mohan Lall Munjal: - The Hero Motocorp tycoon has been privately educated, but that has nowhere affected his success story. Today Hero MotoCorp is a real hero in the biz. world.

7)       Wang Jianzhou: - The CEO of China Mobile is again not an MBA but the level of success of the same is world famous. It wasn’t his degree but the real innovative strategies that brought growth for the same.

8)      Anil Agarwal: - The Vedanta group head is B.Com by degree but what he is by profession doesn’t need an introduction or description. Anil has achieved entirely new heights for Vedanta with the entire band of excellence he had.

9)      Dilip S Shanghavi: - The man from Sun Pharma , just a B.Com graduate had a capability, that made the group reach such remarkable heights  in business.

10)   Azim Premji :- The name is enough to define what values does Wipro have under him. One will be surprised to know that he is just a simple BSc. Graduate. The add-ons he brought into Wipro and the place Wipro stands in the world today, doesn’t require a set of words to define.

“Education is a tool not a scale to measure success and growth “- This is what is clearly proved through the set of examples portrayed above. None of these tycoons have ever let education hamper their success or growth. It was entirely the set of excellence and their will power that had proved beneficial for their all round growth and development.

Right from the childhood cricket to kabbadi, involves the building of a complete structured or unstructured group of mates who would work on a common goal achievement, forming team. A Team is a group of small number of people having complementary skills that are committed to a common purpose, along with specific performance goals and approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable.

Teams outperform individuals acting alone, especially when performance requires multiple skills and experiences. Most people recognize capabilities of teams and have the common sense, but overlook opportunities for creating great teams. The successful teams have following 5 characteristics:

• The common meaningful purpose that the team has helped shape.
• The strong team decides the specific performance goals which are essential to achieve the purpose in hand.
• The strong team also has a mix of technical, functional skills required to perform in the best way and if they lack some skills, they try to acquire those in the course of time.
• The team members have strong commitment and dedication to complete the work in hand within the time limit.
• They also have mutual accountability.

Firstly high standards of performance are set in a team in order to outrageously perform above all limits.  Secondly and most importantly, the SWOT analysis of each individual involved is needed to turn them into profit oriented curriculum. 

A single individual who cannot perform individually can out perform in a team. One could feel more protective and cared being in a team, which could be the major reason of increasing performance in a team. The major benefits of being in a team would include:

q  Teams are basic units for performance.

q  Any situation requiring multiple skills could be easily accomplished.

q  Teams are more flexible.

q  Teams are more productive than working groups.

q  Teams provide a more secure surrounding to outrage performance.

q  Teams increase productivity and performance multifold.

q  Team + Performance = Unbeatable combination.

As river has two apart ends, in the same way a team also has some demerits attached in its formation:

1. Lack of conviction
2. Personal discomfort and risk
3. Weak organizational performance ethics
4. Lack of significance in a team
5. Inflexible team
6. Lack of ease of expression

A cricket team without a commitment involved can never win a world cup, nor would we have celebrated the victory with joyous rides this year. The 300s would have never defeated the battalion of 1000s of warriors without a fine art of team work. Thus for an event to occur at the most significant result oriented edge a great work over team work is essential.

Expect The Unexpected & The Unexpected Happens...................

The most unexpected thing in her life was something that she ever thought would be the most fantastic one. She always dreamt it as the most fantabulous thing that would ever happen to her. But she landed into a disaster after the crappy thing happened.

Dream weaver turned into night mare when she really faced it. Love was one of the most ecastic thought for her since childhood days. The hero -heroine stuff from movies always made her ponder over the subject but she made it a point to end it happily ever after. She had no clue that the girl who framed happy ending for every thought could never construct her happy ending.

She never met him, in fact never thought of meeting him ever but she was literally growing nuts on his voice. The very first day when she spoke to him, she announced him as a major terror who was one of the Gabbar Singh types. Very formal and very commanding for her to bear. It was her professional life that was about to turn personal with Niki having no clue for the same. Some  business activity made her give him the first cal of life, she formally called with a soft voice saying, “Good morning sir”. “Good morning, who’s this?” was the immediate response to the stimuli. After her explanation of the subject regarding the cal she made, he was little ok with that. But made a list of commands for her to follow up.

Niki almost announced him as nail that was hit on her head with not a single clue of how to pull it out. She got lots of things to follow under his strict supervision.

Everybody has a fascination since childhood and so did Niki, she always wanted to become a doctor as a grown up. She was so very impressed with the pair of Stethoscope that she would even hang her dad’s belt around her neck, until she had a Doctor set. God bless that waist belt that was relieved from her. She always kept discussing with all her friends as well as the elders every small bit of information she had regarding medical line at that minimal age of 6 years. Dr. Dada always added to her fascination and she would get lost in her dream world, completing rounds in the hospital of her choice. She was always gaped at the thought of joining ligaments and tissues, until she could really read biology. Niki liked the phrase heart specialist so she always wanted to be one; after all it was the easiest term that she could pronounce.

She always wanted to be a doctor as she had heard that they are the only creatures equivalent to God. Also Ma said that God was above all.

Emerged as a leader she always wanted to be on the priority list. She was the class representative , captain almost every event in her reach. She always wanted to be one of the wanna be kind of person –Ms.Popular, infact. Despite being a girl,as a child she was never into those typical girlish stuff but enjoyed being into the boyish ones. She was mad behind sports and games, but neglecting studies was never in her mind. Because of this she was often given the tag of Ms.Allrounder. Sometimes she wanted to be a Jack of All Trades and Master of Some kind. She would love ruling the world and run her life on her terms.

Sometimes she was also confused as if she was better dreaming of becoming a doctor or a teacher?As she did love collecting all the neighborhood folk who could come under her supervision and pretended to be the most strict teacher of the academy. But after all she was a kid who loved amusements too and enjoyed being pampered.

Flow the Cash with Control

Cash is the major raw material to start and proceed in a business. The business entity is void without proper cash in hand or in account. To start a business seed capital is required and to succeed further this cash needs to be flowed and managed evenly. Simply saying - cash is the king for a business that cannot be either ignored or forgotten.

Right from the smaller business units to the major players all need this stuff to work. It’s the basic entity as well as the life blood for any business .The big players like Warren Buffett, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates; none of them would have succeeded without a balanced cash flow handling of business.

Cash flow handling is the major part that needs to be understood for a smooth business flow. Mastering cash management makes one master of the maximum business tic-tacs. Around 70 % of business fails every year due to such mismanagement and mishandlings.

Forecasting and pre planning always helps in minimizing these problems. Proactive approach minimizes the chances of failure and fall. Regular monitoring the cash flows would help in proactive analysis of the business. The major causes of failure in cash monitoring are:

• Debtors
• Creditors
• Too much debt
• Rapid Growth
• Temptation to Over-Invest
• Excessive Stock Levels
• Market Changes

Les Masonson, author of Cash, Cash, Cash: The Three Principles of Business Survival and Success, says cash flow is all about, "getting the money from customers sooner, paying bills at the last possible moment, concentrating money to a single bank account, managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory more effectively, and squeezing every penny out of your daily business."

The various suggestions that could be followed for an effective cash flow, control and management are:

1. Fast Cash Collection: Raise the invoices after timely processing of the customer’s demand and from other parties as well.

2. Timely Cheque Deposition: Deposit the cheques at the earliest and timely for faster retrieval of the money.

3. Robust Account Receivable Policy: There must be a robust and strong accounts receivable procedure and policies supporting faster and proper cash handling.

4. Slow Disbursement: Antonym to the collection procedures, the disbursements must be at a slower pace than collection.

5. Avoid Extra Credit in Bank: Excess amount must be avoided in bank account as availability leads to need. If need arises the cash will be spent easily.

6. Account Analysis Statement: One must always keep a track of their account analysis statements to have a proper track record of every piece of cash.

7. Convert Inventory into Cash: Every inventory in stock must be looked with a view of conversion into cash, and then only the funds will roll on.

8. Continuity in Sales: There must be continuity in sales being carried out such that a continuous round about in the business is maintained. This would manage the inflow and out flow itself.

9. Licensing Agreements: Proper licensing of the agreements must be done with the vendors as well as the customers to avoid any discrepancies.

10. Licensing the Senses: Last but not the least, one needs to also license there own senses in business world. Sense need to be very vibrant while handling cash flow, even a single minor mistake in cash management can lead to a large loss.

Thus, one needs to be very careful in collection, disbursement, inflow, and outflow; in short, cash handling and management of cash procedures. Cash is the most robust and equally fragile entity of business, so it needs to be cared a lot.

My World and ME..............

Dreams are the foundation of reality………

I strongly believe that Dreams are the base for real ventures to take off. Dream big and achieve more and more ,but just day dreaming never turns fruitful. A dream attached with Aim makes the world in ones arms. I am Preeti Singh, a strong believer of aforesaid. A simple but equally strong girl who lives with the power of my dreams.  My friends are my strong supporting backbone ,apart from my family, ready to help out even in the blackout.

My life has always been full of super surprises. I had always been a very ambitious girl who lives in her own world of dreams and aimed of fulfilling them on my own. I completed my MBA recently and joined up work with a consultant company as an HR-Manager. HR was really a world of fantasy for me as I was too weak at understanding people, but it taught me all the tic-tacs. Apart from the HR work I enjoyed writing and joined up as free lancer content writer as well, not putting my hobbies aside.

Alice in wonderland and snow white were my fantasies since childhood. I dreamt of the fairy world that some day a prince charming appears out in black suit, turning my imagination into reality. But frankly speaking I never was good at turning that dream into reality. I enjoyed reading and hearing love stories but never at narration of the same from my end, how would I when never had one? Being single had always been a pride statement for me, but often thought of the mingled world proceedings as well.

In my life 2 things are above all - My Family and My Ambition. Compromising with both these are beyond my imagination.  Fun and frolic are my keywords of life. 2 things I cannot stand are – lies and liars. I enjoy every part of my life and do all the weird things that I feel like doing, and strongly feel that others should also do the same.

Dream and Aim – Nothing in the world can then stop you, so go and grab what you feel like owning. But always be accountable of what you do. Owe your dreams and life and turn good dreams into the best realities….

Love yourself and the world will fall in love with you as well……
